East Europe vs. UK Pubs vs. Moscow Clubland
Yes, this is a promo vid for a Stag tour operator, so there’s certainly some Borat-like skewing going on here. It’s already a cliché though that East Europe has hotter babes than the West.
That explains the tens of thousands of sex tourists that have invaded
in the last five years, hoping for a quickie with a Slavic lovely, or even
the chance to bag a sizzling hot girlfriend by flashing their Euros and
talking up a swank bachelor pad in London or Milan to invite them
back for a week or more.
While that might have worked even three years ago, the truth is that
as Eastern Europe has been integrated into the EU, those Euros and foreign
passports have lost their flash. Also, many of the young, gorgeous things
that were trapped in their cheesy, local clubs playing bad 80s pop, and
forced to date the local, mullet-headed ‘cool’ boys or the stray Italians
or Brits that made it over have already hightailed it abroad and are
most likely working the tap at your local pub.
Globalisation and market forces tend to level differences between cultures,
and it’s no wonder that the imbalance in beauty in the East wouldn’t survive
the full onslaught of the West. Today, there are more sexy, smart girls in
Helsinki than in neighboring Estonia, once hailed as having the ‘most beautiful’
girls in the world. The ones that are left are for the most part, (minus those that
have their own businesses or are married to successful local men) the fat, the
stupid, the arrogant, and the ones that wouldn’t make it in the West anyways.
For some perspective, compare Eastern Europe to Moscow (right), still in
full swing, and too scary and expensive to be a target for stags and other
