MINI B EAST PARTIES – LATVIA

The summer of B East is a chance to dis the RGB clare of the computer screens and head out into the beast nations around us.

Two years ago, when the magazine was still in its infancy, we drove through Poland and Lithuania in a MINI Cooper weighted down by half a ton of magazines, which we occasionally dropped off at weird locations (abiker bar under an overpass outside Wroclaw!) just to get a kick from their reaction.

For our E Tunes issues, we went one step further and decided to involve our potential readers , whether scensters or beach bums, through wicked tunes. So we drove around Latvia’s babe-ilicious Jurmila sea resort in a convertible MINI (yeah, sometimes the living is easy at the magazine!) with DJ AI-VA rousing the crowd on the car’s speakers with his mix of Baltimore sounds and Riga dancehall.

That Friday, we parked the car at Andrejsala, Riga’s sooo-hip, art neighbourhood for Spacebar Zagga’s 31st birthday bash and Pantone party later.
